This association is the only recognized Trade Association for this new and exciting industry. It is a membership organization including those professional companies who operate self storage centers and the high class suppliers who service the industry.

The Self Storage Association’s mission statement is as follows:
“to enhance, promote and support the interests of all those who own, operate and invest in self storage through raising awareness of self storage and the promotion of improved standards for the benefit of customers.”

SSA is considered to be the voice of the self storage industry and is focused on raising the awareness of the industry in the media. To this end it is available to national and international press as well as global financial institutions and investors to give advice and essential information on the industry
The SSA works exceptionally hard to drive public awareness of self storage not only in the media but through raising industry procedures and standards and driving debates within local government and throughout relevant industry sectors

SSA is considered to be one of the main information centers for the industry and is also used by consumers using the industry for the first time to offer advice where necessary
SSA represents its members and co-ordinates discussions with relevant sectors and, where necessary will lead discussions for the benefit of the industry
